Dream
'Creation' Catcher Workshops
In Native American culture dream catchers are
not just decorative ornaments
but real tools to help us remember our dreams.
In
the Ojibway tribe, a new baby was not named until the appointed
'namer' of that child
had had a dream as to what the baby would be called.
The
namer might then give the baby a charm, woven to look like a
spider's web, to protect the baby's dreams. This charm would
be hung over the crib.
DREAM
'CREATION' CATCHERS WORKSHOP
This
leads to my Dream 'Creation' Catcher Workshops where the family
of the new baby
or a small group of pregnant women may
come together
to create a web of protection and good virtues that will filter
into the child's aura.
-
The end product -
the dream creation catcher may then be used to hang above the
cot as a mobile.
The prayers put into each knot will be like a cocoon around
the baby.
The
dream 'creation' catchers may catch dreams and also empower
the child in the future,
to help weave their own dreams with all the good virtues that
the parents
have blessed into each knot of the
creation web.
